We are pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2024 BCCPAC Board of Directors By-Election. Serving on the Board is an excellent opportunity for personal growth, networking and contributing to public education at a provincial level. We encourage members in good standing to nominate someone who brings relevant experience, a strong commitment to effective governance and who shares our dedication to advancing the organization’s vision, mission and guiding principles, helping us build a stronger future together.

Nomination Process
Nomination Period:
November 4, 2024 – December 2, 2024
All prospective candidates should start by reviewing 2024 Information for Board Nominees and the 2024 BCCPAC By-Election page on our website. For questions about the process, please reach out to info@bccpac.bc.ca for assistance. We encourage early submission of the Nomination Package to allow time to address any missing information, as late submissions cannot be accepted.
Nominations are governed by the BCCPAC Bylaws and Policy 2590 Nominations to the Board of Directors.Election TimelineThe timeline below is structured to allow member PACs and DPACs adequate time to consider and discuss nominations and voting decisions:
November 4 – By-election notice and call for nominations
December 2 – Nomination period closes
December 9 – Candidates announced; voting period opens
January 5 – Voting period closes
January 10 – By-election results announced (or earlier if available)
Voting Process:
On December 9, all eligible voting members will receive an email with the By-Election Booklet, containing candidate information and voting instructions. We encourage voting PACs and DPACs to discuss the booklet with their members before submitting ballots.
By-elections are governed by the BCCPAC Bylaws and Policy 4050B By-Elections to the Board.
